The night passed quickly and we realised that it is already 5 a.m. when we heard our teacher's wake up call.
We all got ready within 10 minutes and treked out for the Bird Watching trip. We were given a small booklet which had pictures of birds and a small worksheet with it.We were supposed to write our notes as soon as we spotted a bird.
We walked in the woods to observe the natural beauty around us. We spotted many birds like maina, babbler, pigeon etc. Our hike took us down the hill on a narrow path and Mr. Guru,an Aravali teacher, kept updating us about the Aravali ridge area. We witnessed some interesting sites of the old residual mountains.
We enjoyed our trek and remained as quiet as possible to see the birds. On our way we took a short break at the Shiv temple. We were feeling a bit tired, but the tea and prashad, served at a nearby Ashram, helped us to regain our energy.
This visit was very rejuvenating and gave us a break from our urban life.
It was time to move back to school. We reached the campus and had a quick breakfast before the next event; Village Schools' Sports Meet. The students from nearby village schools were invited and some of the spots events were planned for them. The prizes were then distributed to the winners.
The happy feeling on their faces made us content too...
After the Sports Meet we had our lunch and then rushed to the AV room. The keynote speaker for the third day was Mr. Anurag Sharma. He showed us a slide presentation on conserving tiger, our national animal, which was again followed by discussions in our barazza groups.
Then finally we went to our dorms to pack up for Camp Tikkling.
The thought of overnight camping filled us with joy. We boarded the buses excitedly and reached the destination in another 10 minutes. We had a quick snack and rested for some time.
We then did various adventurous activities and the went for trekking as well.
Once we were back, we had an interesting quiz based on the environment. We were served with hot soup around the bonfire. We sang songs and danced.
After dinner we went to our tents for a good night's sleep after such a long and hectic day.
For many of us, staying in tents was a first time experience. The night seemed so dark and scary, but with so many new friends made during the conference surrounding us, we finally fell asleep.
